Binnie Provides Engineering Design Services in Support of the Proposed Site C Clean Energy Project


September 2011: Burnaby, BC – Binnie is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the preliminary design of road and bridge infrastructure works for Highway 29 by BC Hydro for the proposed Site C Clean Energy Project. The Site C project is currently in Stage 3 of a multi-stage planning and evaluation process. Stage 3 is the environmental and regulatory review phase, which includes a thorough and independent environmental assessment process.

Gordon Wagner, P.Eng., Manager of Binnie’s newly formed Northern Division, will lead the team of qualified and experienced professional and technical personnel, working in conjunction with BC Hydro and representatives of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, to perform a full spectrum of engineering, project management and technical services for the Highway 29 Relocation works. The services to be provided include Highway Design, Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Traffic Engineering for the Highway 29 Relocation works.
