Jay Dunbar Joins Binnie’s Project Services Division


March 22, 2011: Jay Dunbar joined Binnie in 2007 after 32  years with the BC Ministry of Tranportation. While at the Ministry, Jay was actively involved in introducing project management culture to the Ministry, taking a lead role in developing and delivering project management training to all business areas within MoT.

Jay DunbarJay managed a wide portfolio of projects as a Project Manager, and over the last four years of his career with MoT, as Regional Manager guided the Project Services group through the transition of reorganization within the Ministry. As a Senior Project Manager in our Sunshine Coast Division, Jay was responsible for managing land development and local government projects.

Jay enters a new phase of his work at Binnie, joining the Project Services Division, where his Ministry experience and stellar project management skills will be fully utilized. “In the short time since Jay joined the Division, he has already made a significant contribution, in particular enhancing our delivery of project management services for the BC MoT," said Division Manager Scott Campbell. "Through the joint efforts of Jay and Richard Bush, the Division won a Finalist award at the MoT Deputy Ministers Awards for 2010.”

The growing Project Services Division now includes Terry Walton, Richard Bush, Simon Lee, Jesse Unke, Reg Lawrence, and Jay Dunbar. The combined skills of this team enable them to provide a wide range of Specialized Project Services, in combination with or separate from Binnie’s engineering services.
