John Grainger is the New Manager of Binnie’s Sea to Sky Country Division Headquartered in Squamish

September 2011: Squamish, BC – Binnie is pleased to announce the appointment of John Grainger P.Eng. to the position of  Manager for their Sea to Sky Country Division based in Squamish, British Columbia.

Mr. Grainger hails from the Yukon, most recently by way of Alberta, and has more than 35 years of experience in municipal and urban transportation engineering design, project management, and construction contract administration. He has worked for clients in a broad range of sectors, including: private, federal, territorial, provincial, First Nations, and municipal levels of government.

Known as the recreational capital of Canada, Squamish is located midway between downtown Vancouver and Whistler’s high alpine. With the completion of the Sea-to-Sky Highway Improvement Project (where Binnie provided support services to the Owner’s Engineer Team), access to the many natural wonders of the region has been improved, while enabling development along the corridor.

Recently relocated to Squamish, Mr. Grainger is optimistic about the potential of the region, “With the community’s quality of life, natural resources, and strategic location, there are many opportunities for us here.”

Active in the Sea to Sky Country Corridor since the early 1970s, Binnie has maintained a permanent office in Squamish since 1992.
