Windsor Secondary School Sports Field Design and Construction led by Binnie

March 7, 2011: Binnie is the lead consultant for the design and construction stages of the Windsor Secondary School sports field in North Vancouver. Funded through the Recreational Infrastructure Canada (RInC) program, the project is part of a $500 million investment in recreational facilities across Canada over a two-year period.

Binnie has a long-standing local reputation as a highly qualified project manager and design consultant for synthetic turf sports fields.  Over the past 10 years, Binnie has designed and inspected over 35 synthetic turf fields in Southwestern British Columbia.

With previous knowledge of the Windsor site, Binnie was fully aware of the complex site grading, geotechnical and storm water management issues associated with the project. Leveraging their experience in project management and engineering for complex heavy civil projects, Binnie is guiding the successful and cost-effective completion of the project. Due to the steep topography, proximity to a watercourse and heavy North Shore rainfall, the project requires the extensive civil engineering experience that Binnie brings to the design of the storm water management system, including the field drainage system.

The Binnie Design/Tender Manager is Catherine Eiswerth, AScT; and Construction Manager is James Martens, AScT.
