Highway #99 Interchange Construction Survey Layout

Overview
Bel Construction Ltd. retained Binnie to provide survey layout for the construction of the Furry Creek/Highway #99 Interchange. Binnie was responsible for providing layout for the clearing limits, roadworks, utilities, retaining walls, bridge, pavement markings and upon completion of the construction, an as-built survey. Due to the large fill volumes, we were required to establish a borrow pit location and periodically calculate quantities of material removed. We were also employed to monitor any lateral and vertical movements of the existing power line towers running parallel to the future road, as the road had sections of fill heights of up to 30 meters. The project's construction value was approximately $5 million.
