Arbour Woods Townhouse Development

The Sea to Sky division of Binnie provided civil engineering services for the design and construction phases for the 36-unit townhouse development located on Government Road in the Northyard area in Squamish, BC for Timberhaven Developments Ltd.

The proposed development consist of 16 duplex type building utilizing a post and beam timber construction on a 1.2 Hectare site with extensive landscaping and is known as the best townhouse development in Squamish, BC. The development emphasized the Smart Growth and Sustainable Design Principles and Philosophy promoted by the District of Squamish and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

The management of the stormwater runoff from the pervious surfaces made extensive use of landscaped infiltration swale systems and detention ponds for meeting the requirement for Volume Reduction, Water Quality, and Detention.
