Brentwood Park Development

Binnie and provided on-site and off-site civil engineering consulting services for the Brentwood Park Development on the north side of Lougheed Highway, between Beta Avenue and Delta Avenue in north Burnaby. The approximately 10.4 acre development included a high rise residential tower and 6 four-storey apartment buildings. Binnie provided topographic survey, preliminary engineering, detailed engineering, and construction services.

Off-site and fronting works and services included widening and lowering of Delta Avenue by approximately 1.0 metre and widening of Lougheed Highway and Beta Avenue for additional vehicle lanes and pedestrian facilities. In addition, the scope of work included overall storm sewer and sanitary sewer catchment studies, extensive watermain and sewer upgrades and coordination with Metro Vancouver for the installation of a large diameter watermain on Delta Avenue.

On-site works and services included design of the internal access road through the site, surface grading, site servicing, stormwater management facilities and erosion and sediment control during all phases of construction.
