Central Valley Greenway - Section 1

The Central Valley Greenway is a new 24-kilometre cycling and walking path that runs near the Millennium Line SkyTrain through Vancouver, Burnaby, and New Westminster. This dedicated cycle and walking path from Science World to New Westminster Quay links to plenty of parks, shopping, worksites, and major transit hubs along the way.

Binnie was responsible for the design of a 6.5 meter wide pedestrian/bicycle path between Boundary Road and Gilmore Avenue as part of the Central Valley Greenway bike network.  The design included asphalt paving design, installation of stamped asphalt, and a landscaped area adjacent to the asphalt path.  Other aspects of the project performed by RFB were contract administration and construction inspection.
