Crosscreek Rd. and Chartwell Drive Roundabout

Binnie was retained by The District of West Vancouver to provide the detailed design for a three legged roundabout located at the intersection of the Crosscreek Road and Chartwell Drive. The proposed location for the Roundabout was on an existing bus route and next to a fire station so it was important to provide a design that could accommodate large vehicles.

The Roundabout was designed to fit as much as possible within the footprint of the existing intersection and minimize impact to surrounding residential and park land.

 Binnie was responsible for preparing the preliminary design, detailed design and construction survey layout for the Roundabout. Binne was also responsible for providing the detailed design for the relocation of an existing watermain that was impacted by the construction roundabout.
