MacPherson Walk Townhouse Development

Binnie leveraged its working knowledge, developed from more than 40 years of experience with the City of Burnaby, to address the challenges of the MacPherson Walk townhouse development by the Hungerford Group at MacPherson Avenue and Irmin Street. Engaging in a broad scope of off-site improvements and on-site design, Binnie also provisioned construction inspection services for the on-site works.

Offsite civil engineering services provided for the assignment involved replacement of storm and sanitary sewers, watermain replacement and full reconstruction of Irmin Street with new traffic calming measures, in addition to road and utility improvements on MacPherson Avenue and Buller Street.

On-site civil engineering services included Erosion and Sediment Control design and monitoring, the development of road grades for the twin cul-de-sacs in the project, and the design and development of a Stormwater Management Plan on a constrained site.

Binnie’s involvement with the design team encompassed both phases of the Georgie nominated project in South Burnaby and marks Binnie’s contribution to another award winning land development project.
