Squamish Home Depot, Squamish Business Park

The Sea to Sky divison of Binnie provided civil engineering services for the design and construction phases for the Squamish Home Depot development located on Discovery Way in the Squamish Business Park in Squamish, BC for Omicron Architecture, Engineering and Construction Services.

The proposed development consist of a 65,000 square feet concrete building utilizing timber and stone features on the building found locally in the area on a 2.7 Hectare site. The development emphasized the Smart Growth and Sustainable Design Principles and Philosophy promoted by the District of Squamish and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

The management of the stormwater runoff from the pervious surfaces made extensive use of rain garden infiltration systems, Stormtech infiltration pipe and 1500mm dia. CSP underground storage pipe for meeting the requirement for Volume Reduction, Water Quality, and Detention.
