Windsor Field

The project is located at Windsor Secondary School at 931 Broadview Drive in North Vancouver, BC. The track and field is a joint project between the District of North Vancouver and the North Vancouver School District. The project was to construct a 6-lane running track and multi-use synthetic turf field.

 In order to achieve the area needed for the track and field 5,000 tonnes of import material was needed to fill the east side of the existing field. To minimize the increase in offsite storm water 36.0m of 1400mm CSP pipe was installed as a detention system in the South West corner of the site. The project includes 500 m²of retaining walls, as well as a cast-in-place seating structure for spectators.

Binnie was responsible for the design, supervision of the tender process, contract administration and construction inspection.
